Emma and Quentin are the most loving, joyful couple. Anyone standing in a room with both of them can feel how much JOY they bring to each other! There is something about their love that is just SO. MUCH. FUN. Even just witnessing the way they looked at each other, I felt comforted in a way. Their joy truly is contagious! It was a blast capturing their intimate micro wedding in Michigan.
Childhood friends connect for intimate micro wedding
Emma and I have known each other for FOREVER. We grew up across the street from each other and were the best of friends starting at only two years old. Their wedding day felt like I wasn’t working at all. Catching up with Emma’s family who I’ve known my whole life was so much fun. Being able to photograph moments on my childhood friend’s wedding day was such an honor! I could’ve stayed all night! Celebrating Quentin and Emma officially becoming husband and wife was truly one of the most special weddings I’ve ever been a part of.
Emma and Quentin met through some mutual friends at Ferris State University and tied the knot at an intimate micro wedding. The afternoon ceremony was outdoors, and it was at the beginning of May, so the weather was finally starting to warm up, even just a bit. AND! The leaves were making their way back onto the trees (finally!) after a long, dull Michigan winter.
intimate micro wedding on family property
Quentin’s aunt and uncle’s have property in Harrisville, Michigan — which is where this small, intimate micro wedding took place. Emma and Quentin just had immediate family in attendance, plus Quentin’s aunt and uncle, which allowed the day to feel intimate and intentional. The focus was on the bride and groom’s love and not any outside factors.
Emma’s dad walked her down the aisle. The beach was so hazy and foggy, which made the entire setting feel like absolute MAGIC. Emma’s florals were minimal, just whites and greens, which made it all very timeless. Emma and Quentin said their own vows which were absolutely beautiful.
beautiful, fun, intimate micro wedding in michigan
Later this year, they will be having a reception with all their family and friends. This way, they were able to have the intimate, micro wedding that was important to them, but also the opportunity to celebrate with all their favorite people, too!
Emma and Quentin: it was an honor to capture your big day. I wish you a joy-filled, fun-loving future together! I have SO much love for you both. Cheers to the Becks!!!
