I had a blast recently with Vanessa and Andre at their engagement session! They’ll be getting married next June at New Vintage Place in Grand Rapids. (By the way- it’s a gorgeous venue and they are a gorgeous couple! So, I cannot WAIT to shoot there again.)
For their engagement photos, I wanted to show their love as authentically as I could. They wanted more of a formal sexy vibe that still captured the essence of THEM.
When I asked them what they loved most about each other…

♡ Vanessa said: “I love that he’s my literal best friend. We can be silly and playful together after all these years together. I love his sense of humor and he calms my crazy down.”
Their Love Story
This couple met over a decade ago and are so in love with one another!
Vanessa recalled their first date, saying “We met at work 11 years ago. He tried to talk Spanish to me to ask me on a date to the movies (he does NOT know any Spanish). Which, we still joke about to this day because whatever he said must’ve worked if we’re here today LOL! The day we got engaged he tried to recreate our first 3 dates… Watching movies/shows together, going on dates to new restaurants.”
Such A Fun Engagement Session Together
I spent so much time with these two mostly because we just couldn’t stop talking! I loved hanging out with them for a few hours and am SO excited to hang with them again at their wedding. Vanessa and Andre are laid back and easy-going, yet still so fun. They have this way about them that makes you feel like you’ve been friends for YEARS!
My clients are seriously so amazing and I love them all so much. Vanessa and Andre are no different. Cheers to the happy couple!!! I can’t wait to shoot their wedding next summer!
