Shay and Michael are SO in love and it’s SO obvious. The way they look at each other is so beautiful! It was such an honor to take their engagement photos in Detroit, MI!!!
They met online six years ago and are getting married later this year in Colorado. Michael is an engineer, Shay is a dog groomer, and they are just the sweetest duo.
When Michael and Shay first reached out, they were extra excited about storytelling and cinematic photos. Their Pinterest board was moody and felt like a movie.
I wanted to bring out those vibes in their session with lots of movement — while still documenting their natural connection (instead of a bunch of posing). And I have to say, we nailed the look and feel they were going for! Moody, cinematic, lots of motion, and lots of connection.
We took their engagement photos together in downtown Detroit, just after sunset. We wanted to have nighttime vibes within the city.
