Katie and Brandon’s documentary-style wedding in Holly, Michigan this summer was absolutely incredible! They met online a few years ago and have the classic story of “when you know you know!” Katie and Brandon moved in together after just two months of dating and, well, the rest is history! They’re the sweetest couple and it was an honor to take wedding photos of their special day.
Since they’re golfers, Brandon proposed to Katie at the same golf course he asked Katie to be his girlfriend. Shout-out to Shepherd’s Hollow in Clarkston, MI for their part in Katie and Brandon’s love story!
They got married at The Oakley in Holly, Michigan with an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception. It was a HOT summer day and we were sweating all day long. BUT, everyone was such a trooper during the heat. No complaints — just love!
Katie and Brandon each had seven people standing next to them. The wedding party was SO FUN to be around!
I love being a part of weddings where the wedding party is so kind and welcoming — and also brings the energy and support! There was so much love surrounding Katie and Brandon all day long. I could not have asked for a better day for the amazing bride and groom!
Katie’s bridesmaids wore all white! I’ve seen others do this a few times online, but never had one of my couples do it. It made the day feel so bright.
All the details on their wedding day were EVERYTHING. I was hyper-fixated on the beautiful florals and the details in the reception space because — wow! Just WOW.
The blue table cloths, the colorful florals, the way everything felt so elevated — I was absolutely obsessed.
Katie and Brandon did a first look and exchanged private vows. It was very nice for them to have this time together before the ceremony!
There also was a “first look” with Katie and her father. It was completely random and unplanned, it was just me and the bride in the room. So, they were able to have a moment alone and it was so sweet! I’m all for unplanned first looks, they always feel so organic and real!!!
Overall, the day was beautiful, hot, and full of so much love! It’s so evident that Katie and Brandon love each other so much. Their love is so sweet.
