Over the summer, I met up with Sophia and Rhett to document this engaged time in their lives as a couple! Their engagement film turned out amazing and totally captures who they are as a couple.
I always love the chance to work with my couples before their wedding day. So, I was pumped when Sophia and Rhett wanted to do an engagement film together! My hope was to document how their love felt — sweet, gentle, and something out of a cozy book that you can’t wait to see in the movies.
Sophia and Rhett met in high school and have been together coming up on nine years! When Rhett proposed last September, Sophia had no idea it was coming. He popped the question at Sophia’s parent’s house and, directly after the proposal, they had an engagement party to celebrate.
Rhett is a big outdoorsman — so traveling up to northern Michigan for the video shoot was a no-brainer. We woke up with the sun on Walloon Lake (one of my favorite places in the world). It was THE perfect summer morning. After this day, sunrise sessions totally have my heart!!!
These two are so sweet — seriously the most gentle, kind-hearted souls. The whole session was full of giggles and laughs. It makes me super excited for their wedding!
