Grace and Luis are the most precious couple and their wedding day was the most special day! I took their engagement photos in Detroit a few months ago and was excited to see them again for their wedding at the end of July. 

Garden Party Wedding Day Vibes

Their wedding day was such a fun, beautiful, sweet time. The overall style of day was garden party with lots of color. Their venue — Of the Land in Battle Creek, Michigan — was the perfect setting for this because the flowers were all in full bloom. Grace and Luis had a summer wedding and boy, was it a HOT one. It was in the 90s and full sun, but everyone was a trooper for enduring it and it was such a beautiful wedding.

Overall the setting and location fit the garden party vibes through and through. Most of the day was spent outdoors and the reception was in a greenhouse! 

Throughout their entire wedding day, family and loved ones were nearby, surrounding Grace and Luis with big smiles and lots of love. It was obvious how important family is to this couple! Grace mentioned she’s super close with both sets of her grandparents and they were very involved. You don’t always see that on wedding days, so I thought it was cool! Grace’s grandparents even were a part of the ceremony as the ring bearers and flower girls. It was just so precious! 

Private Wedding Vows

Grace and Luis did a first look together and then said private vows. It was so incredibly special and I’m SO EXCITED to share their full wedding video with you all. I personally LOVE it when private vows are shared just between the bride and groom. I love it so much, in fact, that I’m doing private vows at my own wedding!

Beautiful Summer Day

Grace and Luis incorporated a few cultural traditions throughout the day to celebrate family heritage, including tacos for dinner and churros for dessert! I don’t think that there was a specific dress code or anything like that for guests, but every single person who attended matched the vibe of the day so well. Everyone was dressed so colorful and summery — and I absolutely loved it! It was such a fun, beautiful day celebrating this couple’s love story! What an honor to capture their special day.
