Alexa and Vincent met in high school and have been together for years! Their love has changed over the years as they’ve grown up and grown into themselves more and more. They have been each other’s constant, there for each other through every step of the way. And now they’ve tied the knot with a stunning and intimate northern Michigan wedding ceremony.
Beautiful Venue & Weather
They got married last September at The Homestead in Glen Arbor, Michigan. The decorations were simple, elegant, and timeless — but still so colorful. Plus, their love for each other spoke for itself!!!
It was an outdoor ceremony on the beach followed by an indoor reception. The vibes were amazing and since it was late summer, the weather was PERFECT! This time of year in Michigan is always the BEST.
Family & Traditions
The bride and groom did a first look and exchanged private vows. It was such an emotional part of the day! Both Alexa’s mom and dad walked her down the aisle and Alexa dedicated her bouquet to her mom.
During the ceremony, Alexa and Vincent did a newer wedding ceremony tradition where they combined soil from each of their families’ homes into a potted plant together. They are very family oriented and each of their families are big parts of their lives, so it was sweet watching how their family celebrated and rallied around them all day!
True Friends Wedding Party
Alexa and Vincent’s wedding was beautiful and intimate. It was a smaller wedding with their closest friends and family. They had six bridesmaids and six groomsmen. Alexa’s bridesmaids all wore different styles and colors of dresses and Vincent’s best man was their officiant.
Their wedding party was made up of all their friends!!! They described their group as a version of the tv show “Friends” since most of them live in the same apartment complex. They actually DO LIFE together which is just so sweet!
The Incredible Bride & Groom
When I first met Alexa and Vincent, I felt like I had known them for years. They are truly some of the kindest souls! Alexa is actually a wedding photographer as well, so it was cool working with another person in the industry. It was such an honor to document their wedding and become friends with them!!!
